This is a recording from fall 2023. aeolian affect is a beautiful solo euphonium piece I commissioned from composer Joshua Thomson in 2022. Inspired by the natural sounds of wind and the aeolian harp, the piece explores subtlety, spaciousness, and stillness—qualities that really resonate with my interest in connecting music to place and the natural world.
